Democrat Greg Landsman won reelection in Ohio’s 1st Congressional District, Decision Desk HQ reported.
DDHQ’s Nov. 3, 11:59 p.m. EST districtwide tally showed Landsman with 176,453 votes (54.38%), Republican Eric Conroy with 139,343 (42.94%) and Libertarian Nathan Weise with 8,675 (2.67%), with more than 95% estimated counted. DDHQ called the race Nov. 3 at 9:28 p.m. EST. These reported totals remain unofficial and subject to certification.
The victory returns Landsman to the House for a third term. The 1st District includes Warren and Clinton counties and part of Hamilton County, making it the congressional race for Mason and Deerfield Township voters. Its districtwide winner can differ from the candidate carrying Warren County alone.
Landsman is a former public-school teacher who served five years on Cincinnati City Council. His campaign biography highlights his work on Cincinnati’s Preschool Promise program and his earlier service directing faith-based and community initiatives for Gov. Ted Strickland. He has emphasized lowering household costs and supporting children and families.
Conroy’s campaign biography describes him as a Cincinnati native, Air Force Academy graduate, former Air Force captain and former CIA case officer. His campaign emphasized national security, border security and the economy. The third candidate, Libertarian Nathan Weise, received 8,675 votes in the checked districtwide tally.
The result is a race call, not a certified canvass. The vote counts and percentages above identify the reporting snapshot so readers can distinguish election-night totals from later certified results.
