Mason's largest Fortune 500 employer has landed on Newsweek's America's Greatest Workplaces list for the fourth consecutive year. The streak covers every year of the ranking.

Cintas Corporation, headquartered at 6800 Cintas Blvd. on a 43-acre campus, earned the 2026 recognition based on survey and review data measuring 10 dimensions of worker satisfaction, including compensation, work-life balance and career progression, according to a company press release dated Wednesday, June 24. Newsweek and research partner Plant-A Insights Group published the list on Wednesday, June 10.

The City of Mason Economic Development office noted the honor on Tuesday, July 28, calling Cintas "our partner of more than 37 years" and thanking the company for "dedication to building talent and driving growth."

"When people feel supported, respected and are given opportunities to grow, it shapes the kind of workplace we strive to maintain across our organization," CEO Todd Schneider said in the June 24 announcement.

Local footprint

Cintas employed approximately 1,300 people at its Mason headquarters as of February 2024, when the company announced a major investment to modernize the campus. That project, backed by a city incentive, aimed to add 125 new jobs over five years, according to a Cintas press release at the time. Mason City Manager Eric Hansen called Cintas "a titan of industry" and "an iconic part of the City of Mason" when the expansion was announced.

Globally, the uniform and workplace-services provider employs roughly 48,300 people and reported $10.3 billion in revenue for fiscal year 2025, according to the company.

What's next

The 125-job expansion plan announced in February 2024 remains underway at the Mason campus.
