A Deerfield Township homeowner wants to add an in-ground pool to a property that already has three accessory structures, double the number allowed under township zoning rules.
The Deerfield Township Board of Zoning Appeals will take up the request at its Thursday, Oct. 8 meeting at 6:30 p.m. It is the only case on the agenda.
Luxe Pools filed the variance application on behalf of Ryan and Alisa Harrison, who own the property at 8470 Southland Drive, according to the BZA agenda. The proposed pool would be the fourth accessory structure on the parcel. Township zoning rules, under Section 4.09(B)(7) of the Zoning Resolution, cap residential properties at two.
The agenda does not identify the three existing structures on the property.
The five-member board will hear a staff analysis, then take comments from the applicant and the public before voting. Residents who want to speak for or against the request may do so during the public comment portion of the hearing. The agenda's hearing procedure ends with a board vote on the case.
