New residents looking to get oriented in Mason can stop by the Mason Community Center on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at 10:30 a.m. for a free New Resident Coffee, where they'll get a rundown of city services, community amenities and answers to questions about their new hometown.
The City of Mason and the MADE Chamber (Mason Deerfield Chamber of Commerce) co-host the quarterly program, which includes a guided tour of the Community Center and a free day pass for attendees, according to the city's event listing.
The City of Mason announced the Aug. 5 session on X on Tuesday, Aug. 4, inviting newcomers to learn what the city and the Community Center have to offer.
What's included
The tour gives newcomers a look at the Community Center's facilities: fitness and cardio areas, multiple group exercise studios, an indoor competition and leisure pool with zero-depth entry, an indoor walking track, a gymnasium and field house with basketball, pickleball and badminton courts, a climbing wall area called The Edge, Kids Korner childcare and the Mason Senior Center. The center also houses a cafe.
Memberships are open to non-residents as well as Mason residents, with options including Premier, Basic and Medicare-based plans such as SilverSneakers, Silver & Fit and Renew Active.
