Kings sophomore Oliver Young rushed for 197 yards and two touchdowns Saturday, but No. 6 Anderson overpowered the No. 20 Knights 49-33.

The loss at Anderson on Sept. 19 extended the Raptors' Eastern Cincinnati Conference regular-season winning streak to 28 games. Kings dropped to 3-2 overall. Anderson improved to 4-1 and 4-0 in the ECC.

Anderson struck first. Quarterback Owen Scalf hit Poetter for a 24-yard touchdown, and the Raptors built a 31-7 lead early in the second quarter behind a pair of short touchdown runs from Davis.

Kings answered with a Jack Sills touchdown pass and two 44-yard field goals from kicker Kellen Foley. Foley had shown his range with a 39-yard make in Kings' Week 4 win over West Clermont.

Anderson's Tysin Weaver flipped momentum with a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. The Raptors carried a 37-20 lead into halftime.

Neither team scored in the third quarter.

Young kept Kings fighting in the fourth. He punched in his second touchdown and had reached 197 rushing yards with 8:56 left. Kings recovered the ensuing onside kick, and Sills found Poggi on a 14-yard touchdown pass to pull the Knights within 43-33.

That was as close as Kings would get. Davis scored again on the game's final play to seal the result for Anderson, according to WLWT's Blitz 5 recap.

Young entered the week with 410 rushing yards and seven touchdowns through four games, per WLWT's Week 5 preview. His performance against Anderson pushed that total to 607 yards on the season. TriState Football named him a Friday Night Star.

Kings had scored 121 points in its three wins but was shut out 35-0 by Winton Woods in its only other loss. The Knights now trail Anderson by two conference losses heading into the second half of the ECC schedule.
