Two Saturday farmers markets, free Friday night concerts and a new monthly artisan gathering line up along the Mason Mile this month. The City of Mason announced the August schedule Tuesday, Aug. 4, pointing residents to Downtown Mason for weeks of programming.

Here's what neighbors can mark on the calendar.

Mason Market on the Mile

The Saturday morning market returns to the Downtown Plaza on Aug. 8 and Aug. 22, running 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. both days. Local vendors, food producers and artisans sell their goods. Vendors interested in joining can contact the Mason Deerfield CDC at 513-336-0125.

Music in Mason

The free Friday evening concert series on the Downtown Plaza runs 6–10 p.m. throughout the summer, according to the city's Music in Mason page. Each event brings food trucks, kids' activities and adult beverages sold by American Legion Post 194 and VFW Post 9622, with proceeds benefiting veterans and the Mason Parks and Recreation Foundation.

A Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area is active during concerts, letting attendees carry drinks purchased at participating downtown businesses while walking the Mile. Local businesses can exhibit or vend at concerts for free by calling the City Events Team at 513-229-8555.

Heads up for drivers: West Main Street from U.S. Route 42 to North Forest Avenue and North West Street from U.S. Route 42 to Church Street close at 3 p.m. on concert Fridays. The city advises completing errands on the west side of downtown before then.

4th Sunday on Main

A new monthly gathering debuted July 26 on the Mason Mile, featuring local artisans, handmade goods, fresh produce and baked treats from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The city has not yet confirmed the next date.

Deerfield Township events

Across the township, the Deerfield Farmers Market runs Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon at Kingswood Park's Community Pavilion, with confirmed August dates of Saturday, Aug. 8 and Saturday, Aug. 15.

Deerfield Township and The Arts Alliance host free Acoustic Music in the Park sessions on Wednesday evenings, 7–9 p.m., at the District at Deerfield Park. On Saturday, Aug. 15, the Michelle Robinson Band performs 7–10 p.m. at the same venue.

Looking ahead

The 2026 Heritage Festival and Parade lands Saturday, Sept. 19, in Downtown Mason from 4–9 p.m. The free event features a parade, kids' activities, vendors, cultural displays and live music. Vendor, volunteer and parade applications are open at imaginemason.org.
