Two psychiatrists with deep ties to Mason's Lindner Center of Hope launched a mental health podcast on Wednesday, Sept. 9, during National Suicide Prevention Week.
Paul E. Keck Jr. and Tracey Skale, married psychiatrists with more than 70 years of combined clinical experience, debuted "Docs Tracey and Paul Discuss It All" under their new venture TMBO: Two Minds Better Than One. The Lindner Center of Hope announced the launch in a press release.
Keck is senior consulting psychiatrist and founding president and CEO emeritus of the Lindner Center of Hope on Old Western Row Road in Mason. He also holds the title of professor emeritus of psychiatry at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. His research has focused on bipolar disorder, depression and clinical psychopharmacology. He has authored hundreds of scientific papers and books.
Skale served as chief medical officer at Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) for more than 20 years after joining the organization in 1993. She specializes in psychopharmacology and neuroscience and received the GCBHS Champions of Hope Honoree Award in 2024.
"We're passionate about sharing our expertise beyond clinical work," the couple said in the announcement. "Our goal is simple: to make mental health conversations informative, thoughtful, approachable and relevant."
The podcast covers mental health treatment, wellness, navigating healthcare and everyday questions. Special guests and other experts will join episodes, according to the press release. TMBO's stated mission is to share knowledge and insights that help people better understand mental health.
The Sept. 9 debut fell during National Suicide Prevention Week, which runs through Saturday, Sept. 12. It also landed one day before World Suicide Prevention Day on Thursday, Sept. 10. September is National Suicide Prevention Month.
