Myriad Genetics, the life-sciences company that operates its GeneSight mental health testing lab on Cintas Boulevard in Mason, has earned a spot on Forbes' America's Best Employers for New Grads list for the second consecutive year, according to the City of Mason Economic Development office.
The city's economic development team announced the recognition on X on Tuesday, calling Myriad "part of building a top-tier biohealth talent pipeline" and crediting the company with advancing mental health and diagnostic testing nationwide.
The Forbes 2026 list, published Tuesday, May 19, ranks companies based on surveys of more than 100,000 young professionals with fewer than 10 years of work experience at companies with at least 1,000 U.S. employees. The survey, conducted in partnership with market research firm Statista, evaluates wages, benefits, advancement opportunities, working conditions, flexibility, company image and inclusion.
Companies pay no fee to participate.
Myriad's Mason operation is housed under the subsidiary Myriad Neuroscience, formerly Assurex Health, at 6960 Cintas Blvd. The facility is the corporate home of the GeneSight Psychotropic Test, a pharmacogenomic test that helps clinicians understand how a patient's genes may affect their response to mental health medications. The test was developed using patented technology licensed from Mayo Clinic and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
The Mason facility employs between 501 and 1,000 people, according to the company's LinkedIn profile. Myriad Genetics acquired Assurex Health in August 2016 for $225 million upfront, retaining the Mason headquarters. The parent company, traded on Nasdaq under the ticker MYGN, employs approximately 2,700 people company-wide and is led by CEO Paul J. Diaz.
Shereen Solaiman, Myriad's chief people officer, said in a February 2025 press release about a separate Forbes employer recognition that the company's culture is built around developing diagnostic solutions and empowering its workforce to drive innovation.
