Warren County commissioners cleared a key regulatory hurdle Tuesday, Aug. 4, for Beeline, a craft cocktail bar headed to The District at Deerfield in late August.

The three-member board voted to authorize a Notice to Legislative Authority for a new D-5J liquor permit for 4EG Deerfield, LLC at 5200 District Park Drive, Suite G110. The permit allows sales of beer, wine, spirits and mixed beverages until 2:30 a.m. under the state's Community Entertainment District classification.

Beeline is operated by Four Entertainment Group, Cincinnati's largest bar operator. The Deerfield location will be 4EG's 25th establishment overall, its fourth Beeline and its second in Greater Cincinnati, joining the bar at Newport on the Levee. Other Beeline locations operate in Columbus and Naples, Florida.

"The energy and growth happening at The District made Deerfield an easy choice," 4EG Managing Partner Bob Deck told LINK nky. Deck said the company looks forward to turning neighbors into regulars at the new location.

Hours will run Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., Saturday from 2 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. and Sunday from 2 p.m. to midnight, with happy hour deals Monday through Friday from 4–7 p.m.

The permit had already passed through Deerfield Township without objection. Trustees voted July 21 to advance the application, as we previously reported, after Planning and Zoning Director P.J. Ginty, the Deerfield Township Fire Department and the Warren County Sheriff's Office all raised no concerns. The Ohio Division of Liquor Control's deadline for responses is Aug. 8.

Beeline's name references a 19th-century railway that connected Cincinnati and Columbus. 4EG had posted job listings for cocktail servers at the location, and Local 12 reported the bar is expected to create 20 new jobs.
