A Warren County bridge closed indefinitely Tuesday, July 14, after a truck crashed off the roadway, damaging the structure and guardrail. One person was taken to a hospital after the crash, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred on the Mason Morrow Millgrove bridge near Turtlecreek Road. The Warren County Engineer's Office is developing a repair plan.

Drivers should detour via Columbia Road, Kingsview Drive, and Turtlecreek Road until further notice.

The driver, Terry Kilbert, 46, of Indianapolis, was unharmed and cited for driving in marked lanes. A 40-year-old passenger was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Dominic Brigano with the Warren County Engineer’s Office told Fox 19 News there have been three repairs to the guardrail in this area since 2019. Neighbors told Fox 19 there are accidents here frequently. The Kings Island amusement park is just two miles down the road.

“All the time they are replacing the guardrail. There’s always someone hitting somewhere,” said James Garrett, who has seen five crashes here. “Look at this barrier — wood held to the ground. He flipped right over. It was crazy."
